Exercise does not always take place in the gym. As you listen, see if you can find ways to implement ‘putting a spring in your step’ so you can take advantage of the opportunities presented in your daily routine of physical activity.
Of course not everyone has the means or environment where they can add a treadmill workstation to their office – but if you consciously put the effort and purpose behind your physical movement, you will benefit. Climb stairs at a slightly increased pace, or try a walk-and-talk meeting next time the chance arises. You may find that your efforts are not only beneficial to your own well-being, but it could affect your co-workers and colleagues as well.
